University of Pretoria 1-1 JDR Stars
University of Pretoria lost a bit of ground in their GladAfrica Championship title chase after they had to come from behind to hold JDR Stars to a 1-1 draw at the Absa Tuks Stadium on Friday.
AmaTuks made a bright start and hit the upright through Thabang Sibanyoni, but Stars went ahead courtesy of Tshepo Mashigo before Luvuyo Phewa levelled late on and kept Tuks’s hopes alive.

Richards Bay FC 2-1 Hungry Lions FC
Richards Bay FC opened up a two-point gap at the top of the Championship table following a well-earned 2-1 victory over Hungry Lions FC on Saturday.
The Natal Rich Boyz were quick out of the starting blocks through star man Sakhile Hlongwa and Sibonginhlanhla Mthethwa before Lions reduced the arrears through Delano Abrahams.
However, it was the Natal Rich Boyz that emerged victorious as the effort from Abrahams failed to launch a comeback for Lions.
Free State Stars 0-1 Black Leopards
Black Leopards made it five wins on the bounce with a 1-0 victory over the inconsistent Free State Stars at the Goble Park Stadium.
Lidoda Duvha, who had languished in the bottom-two much of the campaign, are now in the mid-table bracket on the back of this win with Stars unable to consolidate their top-half standing.
Pretoria Callies 1-2 Cape Town All Stars
Cape Town All Stars extended their unbeaten run to four matches following a 2-1 victory over the struggling Pretoria Callies.
It is a massive win for All Stars, who overtake JDR Stars in third spot on the table whilst Callies remain in trouble territory in the bottom-half bracket.
Venda Football Academy 0-2 TS Sporting
TS Sporting brought their seven-match winless streak to an end and boosted their survival hopes too after seeing off Venda Football Academy 2-0 in Thohoyandou.
The loss comes as a blow to Venda as it derails their top-three hopes, whilst Abantu Bemtheto banked by strikes from William Nkosi and Mpho Mathebula to get them over the line in Limpopo.
Polokwane City 0-0 Platinum City Rovers
Polokwane City dropped out of the title race following a goalless draw against the debutants in the Championship Platinum City Rovers.
The stalemate leaves Rise and Shine sixth on the table with Rovers one spot below in seventh and two points behind the former DStv Premiership outfit.

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC 3-2 Jomo Cosmos
Jomo Cosmos edged closer to relegation after a 3-2 loss to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC on Sunday.
Lucky Nelukau’s men were in cruise mode at halftime all through efforts from Rendani Ndou and Rhulani Manzini before a penalty from Thabo Maphakisa got Ezenkosi a lifeline.
Though, Vhadau vhadamani took full control of matters and registered the win as Ezenkosi went down trying to salvage their pride.
Uthongathi FC 0-0 Cape Town Spurs
Cape Town Spurs’s run of draws stretches to three matches on the spin after holding Uthongathi FC to a goalless stalemate at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont.
Spurs entered the match with back-to-back 1-1 draws, while the Cane Cutters came off a 1-0 loss to Pretoria Callies as this result see Shaun Bartlett’s men 12th on the table and Uthongthi ninth.
