Will Sundowns Be Dangerous Again?

With news coming out this morning that Khama Billiat is being monitored, it came as no surprise as many have expected it after the form he’s been for the past 3 seasons since joining Sundowns from Ajax Cape Town.

Khama Billiat is Pitso’s reliable man when it comes to winning matches as he has been instrumental for Sundowns up to date. Since the beginning of the campaign Billiat has been the most dangerous player forming a great partnership known as CBD, consisting of Castro, Billiat and Dolly, which has traumatized several PSL teams.

It is in football culture that when a team loses its key players ahead of a new season, then there is bound to be a struggle, it happened with Kaizer Chiefs after losing their key players in Tefo Mashamaite and Mandla Masango.

With Sundowns set to lose two of their key players in Bongani Zungu, who has signed a pre-contract with Vitoria de Guimaraes FC, and Khama Billiat, who might not be with Sundowns ahead of the upcoming season, the team might lose its strength as they will be trying to fill the voids left by the players.

Will Sundowns be the same again next season?
