Will Mashaba Ever Give Erasmus A Chance?

Shakes Mashaba has announced the squad that will do battle against Angola in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers next month. Despite naming a relatively strong side, there is still no room for in-form striker Kermit Erasmus.

Erasmus is arguably the best Striker South Africa has at the moment and his exploits in continental competition for Orlando Pirates this season have even earned him nominations for individual accolades in the showpiece.

Another point worth noting is that Tokelo Rantie has been warming the bench at Bournemouth in recent times and also, Sibusiso Vilakazi has not been at his best with Bidvest Wits in the current campaign.

This then could have been the perfect opportunity for Shakes to include Erasmus.
