Both Benni Mcarthy and Kaitano Tembo will be looking for the first trophy of their careers when their respective teams, Supersport United and Cape Town City, lock horns at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban this coming weekend.
This is a repeat of last year's final which saw Matsatsantsa edge City on penalties. Benni's troops will know what defeat was like and will have to overcome the psychological battle of going to the same change rooms and same field where they lost last season.
However, the painful memories of last seasons' loss could be enough motivation for them to go on and win it, this time. The experience of Teko Modise and Ayanda Patosi could come in handy.
The favourites are Supersport United who could make it their third MTN8 title in as many seasons. Their squad is even stronger this season having added the likes of James Keene and Evans Rusike to their frontline. They could be dubbed as the new cup kings of Mzansi football if they win it.
Who do you think will win the MTN8 final?
