Giovanni Solinas has been at Kaizer Chiefs for approximately two months, after taking over from interim coach, Patrick Mabedi.
Many were surprised when he was given the nod to take over the reins of Mzansi's biggest club, despite some big names being linked to the job.
However, the Italian mentor is beginning to prove his detractors wrong. So what have we learned about Solinas?
An Attacking Philosophy
Chiefs are playing an exciting brand of attacking football. The build-up play from the back looks promising as well. They are able to attack through the middle and out wide with the fullbacks joining in if the opposition has everyone behind the ball.
He Is Not Afraid To Rotate
Solinas has given almost all his squad members some game time. In his two league wins, he has played almost two different teams, showing that the Amakhosi squad has real depth, something the supporters have always been complaining about in the past.
The Team Has A Spine
Itumeleng Khune, Siyabonga Ngezana, Willard Katsande and Khama Billiat form what can be deemed as the core of the team.
Albeit early days, do you think better days are yet to come for Chiefs?
