Performance wise, the Premier Soccer League has dropped its standards dramatically over the years.
For the last couple of seasons, we haven't had a striker scoring consistently in the Absa Premiership, with frontmen rewarded for netting no more than 15 goals in a single campaign.
This past season, we’ve had joint top goal scorers on 11 goals in Mamelodi Sundowns' Percy Tau and Polokwane City's Rodney Ramagalela.
For me, we have been rewarding mediocrity for far too long now.
The PSL must set a 25-goal target as a minimum for top scorers to get rewarded. We can't keep this on and expect our football to grow. Let's go back to basics and resurrect our football.
What are your thoughts, how can the level of football improve in the PSL?
