Yes experience is more important in the game of football but I got belief that our local players especial striking department in the national team can do well in scoring those goals. Lets take for example Tokelo Rantie and Thamsanqa Gabuza they lack match fitness but they are in the national team, while there are players who are playing week in and out and scoring goals but not considered for call up. I still not understand why Shakes don't build on under 23 players because in no time they will be part of Bafana Bafana set up. I'm not saying that European base players are not good for Bafana Bafana but some of them they are not playing in their respective clubs but when it comes to our national team they are the best, do this means that we don't have enough good players to replace those who lack game time? I think our national team coach and staff must start to believe in local players as well. Players like Kermit Erasmus are being ignored without any understandable reason why are they not part of Bafana Bafana set up. With or without European base players our national team can still do better and win games irrespective who are they up against with. Shakes Mashaba must do something with the assistant of clubs and coaches that he is being supported to be given players that he want. Even if the player is playing in MDC or first division but when he is good enough to deliver for the country he must be given that opportunity to do that. South Africa got talent its just that we South Africans don't believe in ourselves and think that for a player to be recognised he must play in Europe. How many unknown players are being signed by those European clubs that they didn't even feature in psl? and they are doing well. The only problem with Mzansi players its lack of tactical awareness which I think that can be sorted out and let the good game begin. I wish South Africa a well way forward when it comes to football and self belief and we can take them on.
