The proposed sale of Thanda Royal Zulu has been met with mixed emotions.
The people that suffer the most in such transactions are the fans. They attend games in the scorching heat and sometimes, in the cold of night spending their hard-earned money to watch their favourite team. The change in ownership of Thanda is simply being selfish, much as was the case with Free State Stars before they failed to sell their club. Many football purists are hoping that this proposal will be dismissed by the PSL for the greater good of football, much like Free State Stars' failed sale.
There is a promotion system in place and AmaZulu must use their money to manage their club back into the PSL via promotion, instead of trying to take shortcuts. If the PSL does approve, it will be an insult to South African football fans.
Do you think the PSL should approve the sale of Thanda Royal Zulu to AmaZulu?
