With the league title already decided, the transfer rumour mill has begun circulating. Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Teko Modise’s future is in doubt and with the current uncertainty, other clubs may look to lure him away from the Brazilians.
Teko could be willing to take a pay cut, just as long as he will get regular game time. He should also be playing for the next two seasons before considering hanging up his boots. Now at the age of 34, Modise has been mainly used as a backup to the likes of Tiyani Mabunda and Themba Zwane by Pitso Mosimane.
Modise has won almost everything with Downs and to end the myth that he brings bad luck to the clubs that he plays for, he would bring experience, creativity, leadership, elegance and guidance to the Amakhosi midfield that has not looked the same since Reneilwe Letsholonyane left for SuperSport United.
Kaizer Chiefs, meanwhile, are a team that needs experience, leadership and a will to win, to help them move on from two trophyless seasons. Modise still looks like an excellent player and, when given a chance to play, he can transform The Glamour Boys.
Should Chiefs consider signing Teko Modise?
