Rise & Shining In The Shadows – Reader’s Voice

As everyone keep focus on the likes of the Soweto giants and Tshwane tycoons, there is a team going about their business unnoticed.

At only seven years into their history, the team from Polokwane has been slowly establishing themselves in the Absa Premiership.

This season they have started like a house on fire. Winning four games out of six and also boasting the best defensive record so far. They seem to have it all with a balance of slick passing and putting a strong emphasis on their set pieces when it arises.

Each player seems to know their role. Whether it's the vocal Sbusiso Mbonani guiding the backline or Puleng Tlolane occupying and drawing defenders with his trickery.

The evergreen Jabulani Maluleke linking and keeping it all together has become the hallmark of what City stands for.

Their greatest team attribute would be their movement without possession and the way they shift together as one entity. The introduction of the Croatian coach, Zlatko Krmpotic has been reaping the benefits quite early.

Where do you think Polokwane City will finish in the Absa Premiership this season?
