Mamelodi Sundowns have a busy schedule ahead, as they are playing in three competitions simultaneously (the Absa Premiership, the MTN 8 and the CAF Champions League). If we, as South Africans, would really like to see Sundowns fulfil the dream of conquering Africa, the PSL should not force them to play while also the team has to travel for away games in CAF.
I know that some will say that there is no need for Sundowns games to be postponed, but the reality is that it will also be unfair to Sundowns, compared to other teams that are playing in PSL's Absa Premiership, as some teams are only focused on the league games only while only three others are also involved in MTN 8.
It would be great to see Mamelodi Sundowns winning the CAF Champions League and really prove why they are ranked first in Africa. And it’s also good for the reputation of South African league.
Sundowns must be rewarded for their success in Africa, and the PSL needs to postpone Sundowns games that will be played in 5 days before or after their CAF Champions league games.
Do you think the PSL should postpone the Sundowns games?
