Orlando Pirates are just a game away from cup glory and, with the likely disappointment of missing out on a top eight finish, the Nedbank cup would be the only hope for Bucs’ supporters this season.
Should they miss out on top eight finish and fail to win Nedbank cup, this would be the worst season ever for Pirates. The Bucs’ management are already preparing for next season and will do whatever it takes to make fans forget about 2016/17 season, which is filled up with terrible records already.
The Buccaneers should try to bring the likes of Bidvest Wits trio, Tyson Hlatshwayo, James Keene and Ben Motshwari, SuperSport United’s Ronwen Williams and Chippa United’s Thami Sangweni.
The Buccaneers should also try to bring Thulani Serero back home because he can fit in well with Bucs’ style of play. Another option is Steven Pienaar, who is a free agent again, so Bucs should bring him on board. With fewer injuries, Schillo can still offer a lot to Pirates. No one expected Benni McCarthy to score more than ten goals when he joined Pirates, but he led Bucs to the treble.
Can Serero and Pienaar help Pirates challenge for the league title next season?
