Without undermining Zimbabwean and foreign players, we've seen Chiefs previously using Zimbabwe as their scouting zone, which doesn’t make sense and is not helping Bafana Bafana.
With rumours that Amakhosi are keen on luring in yet another Zimbabwean player, Teenage Hadebe, that then poses the question as to what is so attractive about the imported players? Is it the fact that they are cheaper to buy?
Why can't Chiefs scout players from lower divisions if they are failing to buy quality players from other PSL clubs, rather than running to Zimbabwe? Amakhosi should change their scouting methods. Putco Mafana used to go around the country in search of good footballers, but that is not what we are seeing lately.
If one looks at Chirambadare, Katsvairo and Lewis Macha from Zambia, just to mention few, they all haven't done well, but in the NFD there are players who could have done better than them. At the end of the day, we expect Bafana to win games, whilst we don't believe in our own products.
Having said that, what do you make of the statement above?
