George Lebese's latest Twitter outburst indicates that he is a frustrated player.
He has been plagued by injuries and it can arguably be considered as his worst season, considering his form, which can be understood, because most players need plenty of game time before getting back to form when returning from injury.
Lebese's best form came during Komphela’s first season in charge when he went on a goalscoring blitz before he was injured,
Lebese needs to understand football dynamics and show some mental strength instead of being a prima donna. We have seen some players return from worse injuries. Perhaps he was in a bad state of mind when he tweeted, “All I wanna do is play football (regardless) of what colour t-shirt I have on.” Since players are on holiday, they could be given a lot of bad advice from their friends while relaxing in the off-season.
All George needs is a good rest and to make sure he has fully recuperated from a difficult season. Then he can come back for pre-season and convince Steve Komphela to bring him back as a first team regular by working hard. Komphela has already indicated that he likes Lebese, but that he will not risk playing him if there are concerns over his fitness. So, it would be wise for Lebese to stay and fight for his spot, otherwise, he can wait for his contract to come to an end and then make his next move, to a club of his choice.
