Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper and captain, Itumeleng Khune needs to up his game now as the team needs him fresh and ready more than ever.
The game has grow bigger and stronger for Mzansi’s number one goalkeeper, as the guy seems unable to keep two clean sheets in a row.
Khune, during his time with an SA U23 side at the Rio Olympics, was the eldest player at the tournament for his country, and his record of conceding two goals in three games is a bad one for an experienced player like him against youngsters.
Domestically, in two tournaments at club level, he conceded two goals in one league game and a goal that knocked them out early in the MTN8 cup, which makes it three goals in two games.
Khune was also the man that seemed to concede spectacular goals last season, which shows that the game and the players have changed and improved. It’s time for him to do the same.
Khune is very much the same player that he was ages ago, and he’s never improved along with the game or the game has simply left him behind. He should regroup and get back soon, since both Bafana Bafana and Chiefs need him.
Is Khune becoming average? Or has he remained the same and not improved with the game?
