Kaizer Chiefs went into the Telkom Knockout tournament in search for a trophy after a drought period that left the cabinet empty and rusty at Naturena.
Amakhosi were drawn to face arch rivals Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals, who themselves are eager to win silverware
A few weeks ago, we were treated to the famous and first instalment of the Soweto Derby in the Absa Premiership. The Sea Robbers subsequently claimed all three points in a 3-1 win.
As a Chiefs fan, this was a tough moment for us, it left us powerless.
But we continued to believe, we forgave and moved on. When Chiefs faced Pirates in the semi-finals of the TKO, we were expecting vengeance, but no, it was a repeat of the humiliation a few weeks prior.
Our festive vibe has been destroyed, how can this be possible, losing twice to the same team in less than two months? A draw would be accepted but the knock out from the TKO left a bitter taste for the remainder of the season. We deserve better than this as fans
Do you agree?
