Kaizer Chiefs began the current campaign with a promising start, having reached two Cup finals in the form of the Telkom Knockout and the MTN8.
When a team is doing well, there are always individuals behind the team’s success, and that man for was George Lebese. The Left winger start his campaign with storm, collecting Man of The Match awards on numerous occasions, and he played a significant part in Chiefs' road to MTN8 final.
Lebese’s form caught the eye of our National team coach, Shakes Mashaba, who rewarded the left-footed player with a call up to the Bafana Bafana squad. The Amakhosi man’s form didn’t go unnoticed overseas either as the Turkish outfit that plays in the country’s second division decided to renew their interest in the player’s services.
It was so unfortunate for him to carry on with his dazzling form after he picked up an injury, not only affecting him individually but affecting the whole Chiefs team, after they went on to get disappointing results and failed to score goals.
Do you think Chiefs form died with Lebese’s injury?
