Bafana Bafana head coach Ephraim Shakes Mashaba is being criticised for his side's dull performance in the Orange Africa cup of Nations qualifier.
Most of the people don't understand why Mashaba insisted on including Thamsanqa Gabuza and Tokelo Rantie in the national squad, despite the pair not featuring often for their respective clubs.
The boss seemed to take precaution when it comes to the striking department, because the is no forward with more experience than Rantie and Gabuza. Now that our chance of qualifying for the tournament are slim, it would be a great time to introduce the Dutch-born goal machine Lars Veldwijk.
Veldwijk made it clear that he would love to play for the national team and he has been in form for his club PEC Zwolle in Holland, scoring 13 goals in 27 Eredivisie games so far.
We have seen what Rantie and Gabuza can do, but maybe it is time we see what Lars Veldwjk can bring to the national squad. We can try to disparage the coach's name on social media but we have to admit that we need a lethal striker that can solve our scoring problem and Veldwjk may be the answer.
What can coach Mashaba do to solve Bafana Bafana's scoring problem?
