Orlando Pirates host bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs at Soccer City (15:30 kickoff) in a second-versus-third encounter, leaving everything to play for in the title race this term.
And we look at the six most in-form players from the two teams who will be hoping to impact the country's most illustrious match.
Luvuyo Memela: The Buccaneers' most clinical player this season, Memela has the most league goals (3), most assists (4) and has let off the most strikes at goal, while boasting the best accuracy from those as well, for Pirates. More of the same in the derby should be expected.
Justin Shonga: The talk of Mayfair at the moment, much will be riding on Shonga's shoulders heading into his debut Soweto Derby, especially after his brace in the 4-2 win over Chippa United in midweek, which took his league tally to three goals this term, at a rate of 0.34 goals per game.
Musa Nyatama: The cog that has turned Orlando Pirates' midfield this term, Nyatama's service will be desperately needed at Soccer City as he tops the Bucs' passing statistics with 1,313 total passes in the league this term. However, with only two league goals and one assist so far, he'll be hoping to improve those numbers at the most opportune time.
Siphiwe Tshabalala: The Amakhosi legend shows no signs of slowing down, even at 33 years old, with four goals and five assists in all competitions this season. He also has the most shot (43, 13 on target) while he's put in the most deliveries (126) for Chiefs this term ,However, with only one goal against their bitter foes since 2012, 'Shabba' will know it's high time he shows up to South Africa's biggest party.
Ryan Moon: The striker has a big opportunity at hand and could cement his role in Amakhosi's attack with a goal in South Africa's biggest match, and if four goals in Kaizer Chiefs' last six games are anything to go, Moon will be amongst the biggest threats at FNB Stadium.
George Maluleka: Kaizer Chiefs' midfield engine, Maluleka hsa the most touches (1,225) and most passes (1,032) for the Glamour Boys in 2017/18, sparking the attack with his clever positioning and excellent short-passing game. However, one goal and as many assists this season hints at some missing potential that the playmaker will be desperate to improve on. And what better stage than the Soweto Derby?
