Following the 5-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in their most recent match, AmaZulu have made some changes to their squad in preparation for the team’s upcoming matches, starting with this Sunday’s league match against Baroka FC.
The KwaZulu-Natal outfit has terminated the contracts of Siduduzo Dlamini and Sbongiseni Mthembu, after they were deemed surplus to requirements in Jozef Vukusic’s team.
“AmaZulu have reached a settlement with Sdu Dlamini (28) and Sbongiseni Mthembu (24) for a termination on their contracts,” confirmed AmaZulu in a statement on the club’s official website.
“This was done on mutual agreements and it will allow the players to join any club in January, with the view to enable the players more maximum chances of obtaining game-time elsewhere,” the club added.
Meanwhile, the Durban-based club has confirmed promoting two players in Bayanda Shangase and Olwethu Mzimela from the reserves.
“AmaZulu have incorporated U21 forward Bayanda Shangase (20) and goalkeeper Olwethu (18) Mzimela into the first team with immediate effect following the pair’s continued growth with the AmaZulu reserves,” AmaZulu confirmed.
