Pitso Mosimane explained that Mamelodi Sundowns still have to fight for the league title even with the odds against them.
Mosimane was awarded the Absa Premiership award for December and although in Angola, the Sundowns head coach made sure to express his gratitude to everyone involved.
Speaking to the Premier Soccer League, Mosimane revealed how important it is to continue their fight on all fronts, especially for the number one spot on the Absa Premiership log.
“Our match on Saturday is a must-win, of course, sometimes you want to and you might not but you have to fight to win to stay at the top of the log in the CAF Champions League,” he said.
“We also have to fight for the league title in South Africa, even though the odds are against us and it will be difficult for us now because of a lot of different programs that we are involved in.
“We are in the Champions League and in the PSL, now it will be the Nedbank Cup, we’ve been doing the same thing especially in December when it included the Telkom Knockout Cup and managing Stellenbosch, managing AmaZulu and all those games that you had played, is a hectic program. But we are humbled and appreciate that we have been recognized,” Mosimane added.
