Orlando Pirates are believed to be closing in on a midfielder who has recently parted ways with Chippa United.
The Siya crew reported that Ronaldo Maarman had exited the Chilli Boys, although earlier indications were that he would form part of coach Gavin Hunt’s squad for the 2021/22 season.
Indications are that the Buccaneers are keen on the 21-year-old attacking midfielder who impressed with his performances last season while on loan at Cape Town All Stars from Chippa.
Baroka FC have also been interested in the talented player’s services, as reported by the Siya crew, while Sekhukhune United is believed to be also keen.
“The player is assessing his options at the moment as there has been interest in his services from a number of clubs, including some from Jo’burg. He is looking forward to playing in the DStv Premiership in his next move and God willing he will make the Pirates move happen for him and that would be a big one for him. Sekhukhune United is also interested in the player,” said the source.
Maarman scored five goals and provided four assists for Igugu Lekapa last season.
