Ntseki Outlines Bold Chiefs Revolution

Molefi Ntseki, who was recently appointed at Kaizer Chiefs as the head of technical and youth academy, has outlined his plans to spark a revolution at Naturena that would see the Glamour Boys reclaim their former glory.

After being unveiled on Monday afternoon, the former Bafana Bafana coach was buoyant over his new appointment, which by his own admission, had been three years in the making after he held talks with Amakhosi in 2019, although nothing came of it at the time.

Now, in an interview with the club’s media department, the 50-year-old has revealed his plans for the Soweto giants.

“All that is important for us is to recruit players (who) will play for Kaizer Chiefs, who will understand the culture, the tradition of Chiefs, that will put Chiefs on the map, where it belongs,” he said.

“Coming from the under-13s, 15s, 17s, 19s and the players we have in the (DStv Diski Challenge), these are the players to be promoted, these are the players to go to the first team.

“But the most important thing for me is the type of players we are bringing in, the type of coaches we have in the club, because if we all understand the culture and the philosophy of the team, it will make it much easier for us to get the best players into the first team,” he added.

Ntseki – who signed a three-year contract with Chiefs, will be working closely with a familiar face at Naturena, with the Siya crew reporting that Stuart Baxter is set to take over the reins at the club, following the sacking of Gavin Hunt last Friday.

Ntseki served as Baxter’s assistant coach during his time with Bafana Bafana and together the duo helped the country reach the AFCON 2019 quarter-finals in Egypt.
