Some can negotiate pre-contracts in January, others are just out of favour, but Kaizer Chiefs have some big decisions to make on their stars in the coming months…

As seems to happen every year with the Amakhosi, there is expected to be a number of exits from Naturena over the next couple of transfer windows, and the club has some very senior players who could well be drawing close to the end of their Chiefs careers as things stand.
The likes of Itumeleng Khune, Bernard Parker, Willard Katsande and George Maluleka – all of whom played a huge role in any success the club has had in recent years – are all believed to be entering into the last six months of their contracts come the start of January, and as yet there has been no official comment on their futures.
Meanwhile, several others find themselves out of favour under Ernst Middendorp for various reasons, with players such as Kabelo Mahlasela, Siphelele Ntshangase and new signing, James Kotei, all still waiting for their first minutes of the season despite the campaign being almost a third of the way through.
Football manager, Bobby Motaung, and the club’s technical team is likely to have some major discussions in the coming months to discuss what lies ahead for the current crop of players, including those who have written their name into the Amakhosi history books.
Do you think Khune, Parker, Katsande and Maluleka should remain at Naturena beyond the end of this season? Or should the club have another shake-up in January and at the end of the campaign?
