They say when it rains it pours and in the case of Kaizer Chiefs it is a downpour. This comes after the high-flying Glamour Boys received yet another major boost with one of their key personnel returning to full training.
For the first time this season, Gavin Hunt’s men have been able to turn their fortunes around and have mustered three back-to-back wins, much to the delight of Amakhosi fans who have had very little to brag about this campaign.
There is more good news for Chiefs fans, as the Siya crew have it on good authority that defender Reeve Frosler has returned to full training.
Frosler suffered a knee injury back in November and MRI scans confirmed that the 23-year-old would be sidelined for at least eight weeks.
Early in January, the club provided an update on the former Bidvest Wits defender confirming that has started running on the field.
Now, Siya sources have confirmed that the Bafana Bafana fullback has returned to full training, although it could be a few weeks before fans see him back on the field.
Announcement from the club in this regard is expected soon.
In Frosler’s absence, the likes of Siyabonga Ngezana and Kgotso Moleko have deputized for Hunt’s side, although the 56-year-old will be relieved that he’ll be able to call on one of the team’s star performers in the near future.
