Now that he has officially parted ways with Royal AM, the Siya crew has been informed that Jackson Mabokgwane could already be closing in on his next team.
The 33-year-old recently parted ways with Royal AM, following the mutual termination of his contract. Mabokgwane had been negotiating a settlement with the club, which is believed to have been resolved.
Mabokgwane was the club’s number one prior to the sale of Bloemfontein Celtic to Royal AM, with the relocation of the club led to the veteran keeper being sidelined.
The former Orlando Pirates keeper might not be without a club for long though.
Siya sources in the know have revealed that Mabokgwane has landed on the radar of Marumo Gallants, who have identified the shot-stopper as a replacement for Brighton Mhlongo.
Mhlongo recently underwent surgery following a training ground injury that has left the 31-year-old partially blind, leaving the Gallants goalkeeping department worryingly thin, with only Washington Arubi and King Ndlovu available.
Indications are that Mabokgwane could seal a deal to the Polokwane-based outfit in the current transfer window, should all parties agree to a deal.
