Following the postponement of the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial on two occasions last week after the defence of accused number five Sifisokuhle Ntuli asked for more time to prepare, the matter resumed at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria today.
Five men, namely, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Ziphozonke Maphisa and Ntuli are facing charges of murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, possession of firearms without a licence and possession of ammunition in relation to the demise of the former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper in Gauteng in 2014.

Following today’s proceedings, all five men accused of killing Meyiwa have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.

Meyiwa was shot at his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s home in Vosloorus where seven other people were allegedly also in the house including, the famous singer and actress, her mother and sister, as well as Longwe Twala who is the son of legendary musician and producer Sello ‘Chicco’ Twala.
Khumalo’s lawyer Magdalene Moonsamy was also present in court today and the matter has been postponed for next Monday.
