A former Kaizer Chiefs player has come out in fury to describe how angry ex-professionals are with the way the club is being run at the moment.
Chiefs have not lifted a major trophy in the Premier Soccer League since they won the Premiership title in 2014/15 under then-coach Stuart Baxter. Amakhosi have had Steve Komphela, Giovanni Solinas, Ernst Middendorp and now Gavin Hunt as their coaches since then and it has not worked out with them, although the latter still has a chance to turn things around for the Soweto giants.

Former Amakhosi player Robson Muchichwa has described the situation at the club as a disaster, from the office right down to the playing field. He feels chairman Kaizer Motaung should take responsibility and has called for football manager Bobby Motaung, the man responsible from bringing in players at the club, to be controlled.
He also said that it does not make sense for a club like Chiefs to be fighting for a top-eight position when they should be in a battle to win the Premiership title.
Amakhosi have registered just two wins in 10 league matches this season.

“It’s a disaster everywhere. All the departments are a disaster, from the office coming down. It’s not only on the pitch. They are seeing all these things happening. Even Kaizer…he keeps on saying ‘Bobby, Bobby, Bobby. Bobby needs to be controlled. You are the father, what are you saying? I don’t know how they are running this time now. A lot has changed and it makes us ex-professionals angry. I am angry about what’s happening at Kaizer Chiefs,”
“Right now we are talking about fighting for the top eight. What is that? A team that’s playing in Africa is fighting for top eight, as early as this in the season? It’s a disaster.”
