As they go into their 23rd match with the relegation axe hovering above their heads, AmaZulu appear to have their hopes on their new technical team member to help and change the fortunes of the club.
Following the shock resignation of Mabhuti Khenyeza last week from his position as Jozef Vukusic’s assistant, the Durban-based club replaced the now TS Galaxy head coach with Dlamini, who made a step up from the MultiChoice Diski Challenge side to assist the Slovakian coach in the first team.
AmaZulu will be away to Chippa United in a crucial Absa Premiership match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
Usuthu have won five from 22 matches in the league so far this season, and are at the bottom of the log with 20 points, tied with Polokwane City, Black Leopards and Baroka.
“Hands up if you’re excited to see what Cobra brings to the party. Our game against Chippa United tomorrow evening will be Ayanda Dlamini’s first on the sidelines as Assistant Coach,” tweeted AmaZulu.
