An incoming Kaizer Chiefs player will bring his two years at Stellenbosch to an end this weekend with his final game of the season, at home against Cape Town City.
The iKapa derby is set to be played at Danie Craven Stadium on Saturday (15:00), and Zitha Kwinika has shared his thoughts on the game.
“It is the last game of the season, and we want to reach our objectives because now we know that we are in the top eight,” Kwinika told the club’s media department.
“No one wants to lose a derby game, and we want to end the season on a high, and if we win that one, we have the bragging rights,” added Kwinika, who is on his way to boyhood club, Kaizer Chiefs, as confirmed by the Siya crew.
Indications are that the defender has agreed on personal terms with Chiefs, a club that gave him his first professional contract.
The 28-year-old recently won big at the Stellies awards. He walked away with the Players’ Player of the Season and Player of the Season.
He has been rock solid at the back for the Men in Maroon over two seasons with 56 appearances to his name.
And Kwinika all but confirmed his departure at Stellies in an Instagram post: "I could say that I came here as grapes, and I will be ready to leave as wine,” he posted.
