Former FC Barcelona star Samuel Eto’o hailed Manyama as “The greatest player” at his Turkish side Konyaspor and now this former Chiefs legend has heaped more praise on the Amakhosi playmaker.
Injury might have prevented him from fully imposing himself last season but this campaign Manyama has certainly been one of the standout players for his team.
Six goals and nine assists in 20 appearances speaks volumes of just how important the Tembisa-born man has been for Ernst Middendorp’s side.
His marvellous strike in the recent Soweto Derby earned the bragging rights for Amakhosi and it also helped them create a healthy seven-point gap at the top of the standings.
Former Chiefs midfielder Siyabonga Nkosi, who enjoyed two spells with the side from Naturena could perhaps have underlined what makes ‘Kaka’ so great.
The veteran midfielder took to Twitter to share his sentiments.
“Lebo Manyama’s human quality is the fact that he always shows himself lower than his actual value. The next person is always bigger than him, something we’ve all failed in,” he said.
Do you agree with Nkosi’s sentiments on Lebogang Manyama?
