What’s the story?
While Sundowns fans are used to seeing their club make signings, it can be said that with the imminent arrival of Saavedra, supporters are excited. Based on many social media reactions, fans have done their research, watched highlight compilations and came to the conclusion that the South American could be another Chloorkop hit.
New Downs Star
In terms of ability, the Bolivian will bring a different dimension to the midfield set-up. In a similar mould to that of Gaston Sirino, the 25-year-old has leadership qualities, flair and long-range shooting abilities.
When it comes to midfielders shooting from range, Downs were spoiled with Hlompho Kekana's rockets over the years, with Saavedra bringing a similar tactic to the team.
That being said, not much is known about the man behind the scenes and by the looks of his Instagram handle, Saavedra lives a simple life.

The Bolivia international appears to appreciate friendship bonds and family time, often taking to IG in showcasing images of himself alongside his partner and son. He also enjoys moving about in cities, while also going to the beach, some things that he wont be short of in South Africa.
