Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made a final decision on the future for one of his stars, who has been linked with a departure.
The Daily Mail reported this week that the Citizens will be willing to let Ilkay Gundogan leave in the next transfer window with just one year left on his contract.
The report added that the Germany international is not guaranteed regular minutes in the team with the amount of talent at Guardiola's disposal.
Guardiola confirmed before the club's final Premier League game that he has no desire to see Gundogan leave after he was spotted in Madrid this week.
"He’s getting married, congrats for that," Guardiola told reporters, as per Goal.
"He had permission to go, I congratulate him.
"I want him here next season, there’s no intention for him not to be here. Now he’s married, he might want a new experience. All the great Twitter accounts say he’s going to leave but I didn’t know it. That’s the situation right now."
