Majoro: It's Not About Me!
Attention for this afternoon’s Carling Black Label Cup Soweto Derby showdown could once again be focused on Orlando Pirates striker, Lehlohonolo Majoro.
The Lady-born marksman left Chiefs to join their fiercest rivals, claiming the Nedbank Cup and the 2014 CBL Cup while in the Ghost Ship.
Despite ‘Ballo-joro’ yet to score against his former colleagues since his switch from Naturena to Parktown, Chiefs are also yet to win the CBL trophy, as he ironically handed them their only title in 2013.
He told the Siya crew that it's about winning the game for Bucs and that if he scores against his former team it won't be revenge.
"It's not about revenge. It's about scoring to see Pirates win. We want to win today and make sure we keep the winning spirit going. Above all you know this is a derby and everyone would love to score in the Derby whether it's against your former team or not. It's not about Majoro but about Pirates winning today," Majoro said.
'Major' will look to combine well with Kermit Erasmus as they look run riot of a 'depleted' Chiefs backline.
