All is set for the pre-season's Soweto derby ahead of the new season, as Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs advance their preparations.
Pirates and Chiefs are set to play in the pre-2019/20 season Soweto Derby in the Carling Black Label Cup at FNB Stadium on July 27.
Both the Buccaneers and Amakhosi have returned from the off-season this week to prepare for the new campaign with their planned respective pre-season schedules.
So far during the transfer window, Pirates have confirmed signing seven players in French goalkeeper Joris Delle, Kabelo Dlamini, Bongani Sam and Tshegofatso Mabasa from Bloemfontein Celtic, Fortune Makaringe and Siphesihle Ndlovu from Maritzburg United, as well as Tebogo Tlolane from Chippa United.
Chiefs have so far confirmed signing only Zambian striker Lazarous Kambole for the new season.
As reported, Chiefs have parted ways with Hendrick Ekstein, Gustavo Páez, Ryan Moon, Bhongolethu Jayiya, Virgil Vries, Khotso Malope, Brylon Petersen and Emmanuel Letlotlo, so far.
Pirates will be without the services of Thabo Matlaba, Abbubaker Mobara, Jackson Mabokgwane, Ayanda Nkosi, Thabo Qalinge, Gladwin Shitolo, Phetso Map
