Ahead of the pre-season clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, Carling Black Label revealed the three Game Changers that will be used when the two sides lock horns later this month.
The two Soweto sides will meet at the FNB Stadium on July 27 and the three Game Changers have since been revealed.
According to the votes, the Game Changers will be a Twitter substitution, selecting the captain and selecting the Man of the Match.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma, here is what one of the supporters had to say about the introduction of the Game Changers.
“I think the introduction of the Game Changers in the Carling Black Label Cup is a really a good initiative to give the supporters complete control on all platforms. Whether supporters are at the stadium on game day or at home, they have a chance to have their say because they can also use social media (Twitter) to make the changes they feel are needed,” Zoli Galo said.
“As supporters, we always feel loved when our voices are heard because during the season we don’t have much say when it comes to our teams, choosing players who will be in the line-ups, who will be our captain and the Man of the Match. Every time, in a normal game, I would have my Man of the Match, but in the end, it doesn’t matter because I’m not the person who gets to judge. Now that is not the case thanks to Carling Black Label. I can have my say and that makes me very happy. I am looking forward to 27 July and I will be there to make my voice heard.”
