Bidvest Wits crashed out of the CAF Confederations Cup, losing on penalties to Swaziland’s Royal Leopards on Saturday.
Wits had led 3-0 on aggregate after the first leg, but somehow managed to squander the three goal advantage in the Swazi Kingdom, and lost 3-0 on the day to Leopards.
With the aggregate score tied at 3-3 the match went to penalties, and Leopards advanced to the next round after winning 7-6 on penalties.
Unfortunately details coming out of Swaziland have been limited, but Wits confirmed the result on their Twitter account.
Wits will return to South Africa now where they are still competing on two fronts, they are currently third in the PSL table, and will host AmaTuks, who beat Mpumalanga Black Aces in the PSL on Saturday, in the Nebank Cup
