Orlando Pirates are preparing for what has been described as an early CAF Champions League final as the team gets ready for their upcoming match, scheduled for the weekend.
The Buccaneers will be away to Guinea’s Horoya AC in Conakry on Saturday, following their 2-2 draw with Zimbabwe’s FC Platinum on Friday.
Speaking about the upcoming match, Bucs head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, has dubbed it as an early Champions League final for his side.
“It is an early CAF Champions League final for Orlando Pirates. It’s played at the 28 September Stadium in Conakry. We are going there with our calculations, clearly knowing what takes us through, what takes us out,” Sredojevic told the media after Pirates’ match against Platinum.
“We are fully aware that only a win is taking us through, believing in the work we do, believing in the players we have and respecting the opponent,” added the coach.
The Serbian mentor has promised Bucs fans that the team aims to qualify for the quarter-finals of the continental competition.
