Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to make more signings ahead of the new season, although will have a deadline to register the players for the current CAF Champions League campaign.
Sundowns have already added Andile Jali and Toni Silva to their books ahead of the July/August transfer window, with the club set to report for pre-season training this coming weekend.
The Brazilians will return to CAF Champions League action next month, January, where they will be able to register new players for the competition.
According to the CAF Champions League Regulations, Sundowns will have until August 10, to register Jali and Silva for the African competition.
“A player who is qualified to play in CAF Champions League must:
a) Possess a license in his club issued by its national association and registered in his federation on 15th January of the year of the competition at the latest for the 1st period of registration and on 10th August of the year of the competition, at the latest, for the second period of registration.”
However, Sundowns are only able to register up to 30 players for the competition and it remains to be seen who else the Brazilians will add to their squad in the coming weeks.
