Mamelodi Sundowns Touch Down In Morocco!

By Soccer Laduma - Sep 19, 2017 01:48 PM

Mamelodi Sundowns arrived safely in Casablanca in Morocco, where they will begin preparations for this weekend’s clash against Wydad Athletic Club.

The Brazilians claimed a 1-0 lead over Wydad Athletic in the first leg of the quarter-final stages of the CAF Champions League and are now set to lock horns with the Moroccans in the second leg on their home ground on Saturday, September 23.

Masandawana arrived in Morocco today, after first touching down in Egypt from Mzansi, beginning their normal challenge of long travel hours, as they look to defend their CAF Champions League title.

Head Coach Pitso Mosimane will look to field his best side on Saturday, as Ka Bo Yellow hope to build on their 1-0 first leg lead.

A win for the Chloorkop-based club on Saturday will see the team book their place in the semi-finals of the competition, which means that Sundowns might stay in North Africa for more than a week as they await their semi-final fixtures.

@phazamisa, guy yu not a soccer supporter but a soccer fan.sundowns is playing champions league and you dont support that. You are the one of peoples who doesn't have pride of football but pride for chiefs. Wits played a champions league we supported them until the end, supersport is playing confederations cup and we support them why can't we support sundons if its their turn to make SA proud. Liberate your mind dont leave in apartheid regime world while we are in democracy. I hate your comments just keep quite and let other supporters who understand football wish downs a best of luck. Gud luck boys you will need it in that hostile atmosphere of north Africa.
