Chiefs Reveal CAF Champs League Squad

Kaizer Chiefs have released the names of players that have been included in Stuart Baxter’s squad for the CAF Champions League.

The Amakhosi delayed issuing the names of the players that have been chosen for the continental duty, while Orlando Pirates released the squad for their CAF Confederations Cup campaign almost two weeks ago.

Chiefs confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that the squad has been finalised.

Chiefs Champions League Squad And Squad Numbers:    


Reyaad Pieterse 1, Itumeleng Khune 12 and Brilliant Khuzwayo 16


Siboniso Gaxa 2, Erick Mathoho 3, Kgotso Moleko 18, Morgan Gould 19, Tefu Mashamaite 23, Tsepo Masilelela 24, Lorenzo Gordinho 26 and Ivan Bukenya 30.


Willard Katsane 4, Reneilwe Letsholonyane 6, Siyabonga Nkosi 10, George Maluleka 11, Siphiwe Tshabalala 14, George Lebese 17, Mandla Masango 22, Hendrik Ekstein 27 and Ovidy Karuru 29.


David Zulu 8, Katlego Mphela 9, Siphelele Mthembu 20, Matthew Rusike 21 and Bernard Parker 25. 

Kaizer Chiefs will host Botswana league champions, Township Rollers for the preliminary round of the 2015 CAF Champions League on Saturday, February 14, at the FNB Stadium. The return match will be played on the weekend of February 27, 28 and March 1, in Botswana.
If the Amakhosi advance past Rollers, Raja Casablanca of Morocco or Diable Noirs of Congo, will await in the last 32, with those games to be played on the weekend of 13, 14, 15 of March and the return leg following on the weekend of 3,4,5 April.
The Last 16 will follow, and the winners of this round will qualify for the group stage of the African Champions League, with home and away matches to be played on 17/18/19 April and 1/2/3 May.
