The 26-year-old was released on R1000 bail on Wednesday after he was arrested and accused of malicious damage and the assault of his girlfriend, and is now awaiting the next step after the matter was handed over to the police.
However, despite the ordeal, the Siya crew have been informed that Lebese will be available for Stuart Baxter's side this weekend should his head coach choose to select him,
It remains to be seen whether Baxter will opt to field the winger given his current situation, and he will no doubt have to assess his mental state in the days leading up to Saturday’s game.
Lebese has scored five goals and grabbed two assists for Chiefs in 14 league games so far this season during the Amakhosi’s unbeaten start to their campaign.
Meanwhile, upon his release from police custody on Wednesday, the Mamelodi-born midfielder is said to have been spotted in Bloemfontein during the Kaizer Chiefs and Celtic league fixture, a step many believe the player took to show both support to the team, and simultaneously apologise to his colleagues for his actions.
