Jali: They Just have To Wait And See
Andile Jali Has Spoken Ahead Of The CAF Champions League Encounter
Andile Jali has spoken about returning to CAF Champions League action, after making his last appearance for Orlando Pirates in the final a few years ago.
The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder has been registered for the Brazilians’ CAF campaign, ready to hit the ground running for his new club after spending almost four years in Europe.
“It’s a good thing that I am back in the country and I am playing for a team that’s in the Champions League,” Jali said on Sundowns’ official website.
“That’s the one thing that I want to win. It wasn’t nice losing in the final. I have told myself that my time will come.”
The player then went on to add that he will avoid talking about what people can expect from him in the new season, although is keen to show how much he has grown on the field.
“I can’t say what people will see from me. They’ll just have to wait and see. They’ll see how much I have grown on the field,” the 28-year-old said.
“It’s good that I am in a team that wants to win every tournament they participate in. That’s when the competition for places comes in. That’s when you must fight to show how good you are,” he added.
Sundowns will travel away to face AS Togo Port in the CAF Champions League tomorrow, July 17.
