Line-Up Confirmed As Banyana Prepare For Global Stage

All of the 24 teams that will battle it out for the title of the best women’s team in the world have now been confirmed with Banyana Banyana now awaiting their group stage opponents.
Having fought hard to beat/against Nigeria in today’s African Women’s Cup of Nations final, Desiree Ellis and her troops will now turn their attentions to next weekend’s draw, where they will find out which three teams they will be drawn against in the first round of games.
Like Chile, Jamaica and Scotland, South Africa will be taking part in the competition for the first time ever, and Ellis will be eager to see which of the world’s heavyweights they could be pitted against as the tournament gets underway on June 7th.
The full 24 teams consist of:
Cameroon, Nigeria, South Africa
Australia, China PR, Japan, Korea Republic, Thailand
England, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Sweden
North/Central America/Caribbean:
Canada, Jamaica, USA
New Zealand
South America:
Argentina, Brazil, Chile
The six groups of four will be held on 8 December 2018, 18h00 CET at the La Seine Musicale.
