Desiree Ellis' team left it late in their last encounter, with Jermaine Seoposenwe netting in second-half stoppage time to secure a 1-0 win over Botswana.
Banyana took the lead after just 11 minutes as Thembi Kgatlana teed up Linda Motlhalo, who found the back of the net from the edge of the box.
The lead was doubled on the half hour mark as Khanya Xesi registered her second goal of the campaign with a close range finish after an error from the Malawi defence.
Kgaelebane Mohlakoana registered Banyana's third goal shortly after the break as she turned home a cross from Xesi.
The fourth goal arrived in the 53rd minute as Mohlakoana turned provider to pick out Xesi, who slotted home for her second goal of the game.
Mothlaho got her second and Banyana's fifth in the 90th minute, before she completed her hat-trick seconds later with a cool finish as Banyana ran out 6-0 winners.
Banyana wil now face Uganda in the semi-finals on Thursday.
