The women's national senior team began their Cyprus Cup campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Mexico however Vera Pauw’s charges rallied to edge Belgium 1-0 in their second match, owing to a goal by USA-based striker, Jermaine Seoposenwe.
According to the forward, the mood in camp is one of confidence and relaxation ahead of the Czech Republic clash which is scheduled to get underway at 14h30 at the Paralimni Stadium.
“Everyone is relaxed in the team, we have gained a lot of confidence from the win against Belgium and we feel like we can go on and get a win against the Czech Republic. I am confident that we are going to do well,” Seoponsenwe told the South African Football Association website.
“We are all motivated because we are playing against big teams in this tournament which we don’t get to play very often, so when that does happen, everyone is ready to go and ready to win,” concluded the Banyana striker.
