Masilela’s Advice To Maela After Receiving Bafana Call-Up…
Tsepo Masilela Shares Some Advice With His Younger Brother, Innocent Maela
Kaizer Chiefs’ Tsepo Masilela is impressed with his brother’s form at Orlando Pirates which has since earned a call-up to the South African national team.
The Orlando Pirates left back received his first call-up to the senior national team setup, with his performances in the black and white not going unrecognised by Head Coach Stuart Baxter.
Speaking to the media, Masilela, who is the brother of Maela, congratulated the defender, saying that he just needs to keep putting in the hard work.
“Firstly, I am happy for him and congrats to him and he has really done well, he is a decent left back, he is strong, he has got the pace and can deliver. I am really happy for him, he must just keep working hard and remain humble,” the 32-year old told the media.
“I am quite impressed, he has done well, if you check the number of games he has played and he must not forget that he’s at Pirates (and) there is also competition. To be at Pirates and to be a regular in your first season, it is not easy so he has done well, he must just keep on working hard, he has still got a bright future ahead.”
Masilela also said that he understands Baxter’s current vision with Bafana and thinks that it is now time for the younger players to take the stage.
“I am happy for Moon also, he is in the team, it is their time and we just have to support them,” the defender said.
