Percy Tau set the South Africans on the way to victory after a mistake from the Zambian goalkeeper, smashing into an open net following a fumble to carry over his club form into the international scene.

Bafana seemed to take control of the game, although did require Kaizer Chiefs' Itumeleng Khune to rescue them on a couple of occasions before Mothiba came on as a late substitute to deliver the hammer blow, getting on the end of a killer Keagan Dolly pass to fire home.

The victory was Bafana's first in Zambia against Chipolopolo in over a decade, with their last victory there coming way back in 2006 when Aaron Mokoena scored the winner.

Stuart Baxter and his team arrived back in Johannesburg on Sunday afternoon.
