Shakes Mashaba will tomorrow name his Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Angola next month.
The South African national team will face the Angolans over two legs in November to determine which side will make it out of the second round of qualifiers, and into the group stage.
Bafana did recently play Angola in two games as part of CHAN qualifying, which they lost 3-2 on aggregate, however that team wasn’t what can be considered as the strongest side, with the majority of the first-choice players being stuck in Central America at the time.
Now, with these two clashes set to decide whether Bafana will make it one step closer to Russia 2018, Mashaba will be eager to select the strongest squad physically possible to get the job done.
The announcement was confirmed in a tweet from Bafana’s official account, saying, “Bafana squad announcement to play Angola in World Cup qualifier to be named on Thursday, 29 Oct at SAFA House (15h00).”
Angola host Bafana in the first leg on November 13th, before travelling to Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban for the second leg on November 17th.
