Mashaba: Bafana Will Do It For Madiba

Bafana Bafana have a chance to redeem themselves when they face Senegal in the Nelson Mandela Challenge at the Orlando Stadium tonight.
Shakes Mashaba and his troops are still recovering from a rather shocking defeat at the hands of lowly-ranked Mauritania and coach Mashaba is adamant that they will go out in this match and do it for the late Nelson Mandela.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Mashaba said it's an honour for the team to play a game in honour of the former South African president and help the dream of building a Children’s Hospital.
"We know we have to do a great job for the old man tonight. Without him we could not have been here enjoying freedom like this. And also we have to help build the hospital for our children as we know many children are suffering, so playing and winning this game comes with a lot of social responsibility.
“A win tonight will go a long way for every South African and we will do it for Madiba," Mashaba observed.
Bafana who have a dismal record against the Lions Of Teranga, having played six, losing two and drawing four, are looking to finally get one over the fifth-ranked African side and equally defend the trophy they won last year after beating Ivory Coast 2-0.
The match will commence at 19:00.
